Parliamentary Question on Notice
To the Minister for Environment and Water Resources,
1. Will Gunns proposed pulpmill burn wood to produce electricity and, if so;
a) How much greenhouse gas will the furnace produce?
b) Will electricity be sold as 'green power' or environmentally friendly, and
c) If so, will no native forest wood be used?
2.
a) What amount of tonnes of greenhouse gases, including CO2, will be produced by Gunns proposed pulpmill premises over the lifetime of the mill?
b) How will this production be offset by either activities outside the pulpmill premises or other means, (please specify)
