I looked up “Honourable” and learnt that it means:-

Dear Honourable Councillor,

I looked up “Honourable” and learnt that it means:-

Having personal integrity

Worthy of respect

Upright and moral in intent

Principled, proper

As your role as MLC, I would expect that you should work for the people and support their desires and wishes, above your own.

The Pulp Mill debate has scientists on both sides supporting both points of view. A number of you have visited pulpmills, and I respect that first hand knowledge that you have experienced.

However, disregarding the pros and cons, the majority of people in Tasmania, whether right or wrong, do not support this mill, according to every poll conducted.

Despite your own personal views, whether they be for or against, you must choose to act with “honour”, as your title suggests, and vote for the people’s decision, i.e No PulpMill.

Sincerely,

Eric Ollier- Concerned Tasmanian
