Thank you for listening to the voices of the people of Tasmania.
I hope that the repercussions for you do not bear too heavily upon you, but at least you will be able to sleep at night, knowing that you have stood up for the will of the majority of Tasmanians.
The only pulp mill we want is one that is assessed properly and independently, without rush. And even then it will need to prove an acceptable level of risk to human and environmental health and welfare. Only once it has been shown that it will not harm us physically, socially, environmentally or economically, should the proposed pulp mill be allowed to proceed.
