Only Four Members of the House of Assembly Don't Get Gunns Donations.

Just coincidently these are the only four members of the lower house to vote against the Pulp Mill Assessment Bill 2007.

The same bill that a loose-lipped solicitor told Don Wing had been written by Gunns own lawyers. In the pressure-cooker of Tasmanian politics, who is funding the party overrides any other policy.

It bought about true 'bipartisan' unity when the Greens censure motion of Premier Lennons lack of accountability, enabled the defacto Gunns Government to stare-down the only remaining opposition.

Four lone members with no financial allegiance to Gunns. The loss of democracy in Tasmania is of course a major concern. After all few voters had been told they were actually electing a logging company.

The real worry is the implementation of Gunns corporate policy on a small island. Laws banning the building of dwellings that don't fit the corporate land-use model is just the beginning. Tasmanians will and are fighting back.

The Voters Block is part of the new political landscape. Anyone can and should sign-up.

As Gunns interests becomes the only real issues left in the state, watch for the times when the 'opposition' votes against the 'government'. They will become few and far between. Tasmania has already achieved a true 'one party state' status.
