Something I believe has been missing from the whole
pulp mill debate is a pro-woodchipping
response to the 'Weld Angel'. Why haven't we seen an
emotive Barry Chipman perched high above a Midlands
salt pan on a tripod of terra cotta log skidders
holding aloft a chainsaw and a dead wedge-tail?
What about a resplendent John Gay in a lofty position
on top of a Longreach wood chip mountain, held high
by ceramic depictions of Wil Hodgman, Bryan Green
and Paul Lennon, holding a wad of monopoly cash
and the Fast Track Assessment bill?
Come on guys, you can't let the environmentalists
defeat you in the art arena.
