Ho-hum....
Here goes Gutwein again.
Clearly he has trouble reading the latest sticker "I NO LONGER SHOP @GUNNS ", and certainly his interpretation is a little odd.
I suggest that all Tappers send him an email. Here's mine:-
Dear Mr Gutwein
Your inflammatory media release stating that TAP is trying to stop people buying from Gunns is nothing short of ridiculous cheap political grandstanding.
In case you (like Gunns), are not aware of it, the vast majority of Tasmanians are not mindless idiots, and possess the ability to decide for themselves where, and who to buy goods from.
The stickers state:
I NO LONGER SHOP @ GUNNS
Where in that statement does it say:
DO NOT BUY FROM GUNNS?????
The sad fact of the matter is that Gunns doesn't give a fig about Tasmanian workers, and there is ample proof of that!
Just talk to a retrenched Tonganah Mill worker.
Or cast your mind back to the time when Gunns was talking up how many jobs it was going to be providing Tasmanians in its mill contruction......then promptly shipped the Pitt & Sherry contract off to Melbourne!
As Geoffrey Cousins says "Gunns has no credibility", and that's a fact that can be demonstrated time, and time again.
If anything needs to be condemned, it's dopey media releases such as yours!
Clearly I won't be voting for you next year.
